Oppo F5 India launch set for November 2

China based device maker Oppo is all set to launch its next selfie expert, the F5 in Philippines on October 26. The company has also confirmed that the F5 will make its way to India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam as well. Now we have the India launch date.

Oppo has sent out media invites for a launch event scheduled on November 2 to locally launch the F5.

The Oppo F5 will be Oppo's first smartphone to flaunt near bezel-less design, the one you see on Micromax's Canvas Infinity, Gionee M7, vivo X20, vivo V7+, Honor 7X, Honor 9i to name a few. It will feature Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Since, the bottom chin on the front is slim, the fingerprint scanner will be placed at the back.

Unlike its predecessor F3, which had dual selfie camera, the F5 will only have single camera at front and will be embedded with A.I Beauty Recognition technology. The technology uses A.I to recognize skin tone and type, gender and age of the subject within an image, and analyze environmental lighting condition, by referencing other facial images from a global photo database, to beautify the selfie shot. The selfie camera has self-learning capabilities to enhance each shot, as it captures more selfies.

These two information were confirmed by Oppo itself recently. Now coming to rumors, the Oppo F5 is said to have 6-inch display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 20MP rear camera, 16MP front camera and 4000mAh battery. It is likely to runs Android Nougat based Color OS.
